Reese is growing up so fast! Like all babies I guess. She'll be 4 months old this week. She's rolling over and she loves to make lots of sounds for us. The kids keep her entertained with "goo goo ga ga" song, which is any song they sing but they replace the words with goo goo ga ga. Kennedy is great at talking to her in a very high pitched voice that Reese loves to smile for. She was 12lbs last time we weighed her. Seems small, but she was only 7lbs when she was born so she's right on track with her growth.

It took Reese awhile to enjoy bath time. She does now though and Chad gives her a bath most nights while I start getting the other three ready for bed. Kennedy, Parker and Emerson are currently all sleeping in Kennedy's room. Parker sleeps on the trundle that pulls out from Kennedy's bed and Emerson is sleeping on a blanket on the floor. We keep trying to get them to move back to their own rooms but at the moment they really prefer all being together.
We have been so very busy at our house that we ended up celebrating Canadian Thanksgiving a week late. For the 5th year in a row we've followed our tradition of inviting a different group of people to share Thanksgiving with us. This year we had some of Chad's coworkers and a family that he met uptown (although they live just down the street from us) either at the Greek Restaurant they own or at the gym, I can't remember.
Parker is really enjoying his first experience with soccer. He only has two games left which I'm sure he'll be sad about!

Chad's mom June came down this past weekend to help out with the kids while Reese and I were in Boston. Thanks June!!

August 5th was Parker's 5th birthday!

I wanted to post a picture of him the day he was born but those are on a disk somewhere. He's 6 months in this picture.
1st birthday
2nd birthday
3rd birthday
4th birthday (we didn't have a good one of him blowing out his cake but he and Auntie Lara looked so cute in this one from his party I thought it would be a good choice)

I asked him what he wanted to eat and he said cinnamon rolls for breakfast and pizza and cake for supper. A lego cake specifically.

This is Parker's bed head hair. It looks this crazy every morning. He loves helping in the kitchen lately. He and Emerson were helping make the icing for the cinnamon rolls.
Emerson is turning in to quite the character. I don't remember what about shaking cinnamon made her laugh like that.
My three little helpers putting the sugar and cinnamon on the dough.
The presents were all lego. He loves his lego.

I know it's hard to identify but it's a lego cake. I thought it was going to have to be bright red or blue or something like legos are but thankfully he liked the idea of a chocolate lego because we try to avoid food colouring at all costs.

Reese is 5 weeks old tomorrow! Everything is going really well at our house. Reese weighed 9lbs yesterday (she was 7lbs 10oz when she was born) so she's gaining weight really well which is great. She's still basically spending all her time nursing or sleeping. And lately pooping! In the past 5 days I think I've changed 40 poopy diapers! She's started smiling once in awhile. Today while I was nursing her she stopped and looked up at me with this huge smile. It was soooo sweet. She also loves to raise her head up and look around. Of course it starts bobbing around after a minute but then she tries again. At this moment she is going on 3.5 hours napping in the bassinet for the first time. She has previously never stayed in the bassinet for more than a few minutes so I'm really excited about this development. Kennedy has started calling her Reesie Pumpkin Pie. I'm not sure where that came from but it's cute. Emerson calls her Baby Reese and the way she says Reese is just so adorable. Parker calls Emerson baby. I asked Emerson the other day what her name is and she says "Big Baby".

Kennedy went to a doll tea party at Pottery Barn Kids last weekend. She had fun doing crafts and hearing stories but was very disappointed to have only been served apple juice. She says it can't be a tea party with no tea and I have to say I agree with her!

This was Reese's first time in clothes instead of sleepers. She's so little though her 0-3 month clothes are huge on her.
