These pictures are from February. We went up to Winston Salem for Chad's grandpa's birthday.

This is Chad's sister Hannah and her boyfriend.

Kennedy & Parker love their jeep. When we first got it out a couple months ago Kennedy didn't remember to drive it so Chad went behind her with a ski pole holding down the pedal. It took all of 5 minutes of that before she got the hang of it. They are so funny to watch driving around our cul de sac.

Here are some pictures of the sleigh ride my mom arranged for us. We had a wonderful time!

After we finished gardening and eating supper we had a little ice cream snack. Parker got into it while we weren't paying attention. And then was just a wee bit upset when we took it away.

Our Weekend

This weekend we worked on planting a garden. It was pouring rain on Saturday but we needed to do it anyways. The kids had lots of fun playing in the rain. Since anyone who knows me probably doubts I was actually out there, here's a picture of me preparing the space for our garden. So far we have planted cauliflower, squash, and tomatoes in the garden. We have strawberries and tomatoes in hanging pots. And we have green beans, cucumber, watermelon, pumpkin, carrots, green peppers and a few other things I can't remember that we've started off as seeds inside the house. Some of them have sprouted already so hopefully we'll have some success with those too.

Here is Parker with one of his favourite toys. We're trying to prepare him to be a great husband one day.

This was one of our 3 trips to the pumpkin patch last fall. The kids loved going because we got to take a wagon ride to feed some farm animals. As you can see from Kennedy's sandals, despite the fact that it was the end of October, it was still way too warm.

Another random picture. This is Kennedy's gingerbread house from this past Christmas

On Friday the southeast group of Charlotte Mommies had a Mom's Night In at our house. We did fondue and had an interesting speaker from Earth Fare. She said one thing I found especially interesting. Just because your meat says hormone and antibiotic free doesn't mean it never got hormones and antibiotics. It means it didn't have them for a period of time before slaughter. Ewwwww!! And I thought I was buying the healthy meat. Apparently it has to say no hormones, etc. ever. At least I know from now on.
